Hair today - gone tomorrow

Last week I was mostly at the grooming parlour. Doggy Dooz Grooming in Kippen to be precise. It was my first time ever, and I have to admit that I was a bit nervous, but Jennifer (the groomer) was great. She was very kind and encouraging. Not like my human friend who spent most of the time taking embarrassing photos of me and laughing. Huh! You can go off people.

Do you know that this table goes up and down? Epic!

Anyway, it was quite an experience. I was washed with seaweed shampoo. Which didn't smell (or taste) anything like the seaweed I ate on the beach (but that's another story).

I'm actually enjoying this. No. Really. I am.
After that I was attacked by a giant hair dryer. It was a bit scary at first, but after a while I quite liked the warm air caressing my newly washed curls. It was a double whammy actually, cos I also had to contend with the hand-held. Well. You need a lot of hot air to get my coat dry.

I have absolutely no intention of sitting down. Nothing I like better than a bit of hot air in my nether regions.
Then it was back on the up and down table for the clippers (which I thought were just for 'orses. Turns out I was wrong.). I found that quite nice. A bit like having a massage. And, crikey! What a revelation. I can actually see where I'm going now. I thought I liked my fringe, but I can see how it has been holding me back. Look out Shadow (see previous posts). No more sneaking up on me now.

She's very thorough is our Jennifer
So all's well that ends well. Here I am looking pretty tidy and still cute (even though I say so myself).

Now you can take as many photos as you like
Human friends liked the new look; especially as my lovely collars are no longer hidden from view. So I reckon I'll be a regular visitor to Doggy Dooz Grooming from now on.

Looking good!
My Princelet red velvet collar looks the biz!

Paws for thought

This month's Paws for Thought is a celebration of my Uncle Zac's life.

Zac in camouflage mode

Regular readers will know that it was my birthday last month. Well, last week would have been my Uncle Zac's 12th. I didn't know him for very long, but he was a right character and I'd like to introduce you to him with some of my favourite photos.

Me and Uncle Zac. He taught me how to look good with your tongue hanging out

He taught me everything he knew. Some of it useful (how to flush out a pheasant) and some of it downright useless (cocking your leg to have a pee. What's that all about?). He was also Teddy-the-cat's bestest mate before I came along. They used to go on big adventures together, and travelled for miles (in the company of human friend of course), in all weathers, just for the sheer joy of it. (I can understand that.)

There's a video here of me and Zac on an adventure of our own http://tinyurl.com/6skxhpz

One of those perfect days, burned into my memory and a constant reminder of my brilliant Uncle.

Pretty good looking chap I think you'll agree
