The Final Countdown

Only six days to go. I'm ready, but dunno about my human friends. Apparently, they've been busy sending out other animals' Christmas presents and haven't had time to do their own. So now they're going on line for some last minute shopping for themselves.

They should use me for their advertising!
Well, at least I'm still getting my walks and games with my favourite Hovercraft and Hydroplane. My human friends can't believe my toys are still in one piece after all this time. And yes, I still like the odd paddle around in the river with my Hydroplane - even if it is frreeeezzzzing! Although this time last year we were under a metre of snow. Even the horses had fun.

Kasper's attempt at camouflage doesn't take into account a black rug and head collar

Anyway, there's still time for some Christmas snow (instead of all this rain), so I can wear my new jacket and any other nice pressies Santa Paws should bring. Hope I get one of these... cos red REALLY suits me.

If I don't get the opportunity to speak to y'all before the big day, have a very Merry Christmas - and remember. It's not too late to get that last minute present. Send a gift certificate by email. Sorted!

Och aye the view

Scotland. What is it about our weather? To give you an idea of what I mean, here's part of last week's diary:

Tuesday - Floods
Wednesday - Snow
Thursday - 100 mph winds
Friday - Sunshine
Saturday - Snow
and around and around we go.

Well, at least it's never boring and I get to wear all sorts of useful clothing. And the views! OMGosh!

This was sunrise - the day of the floods
This is a view of the Bens - the day after
Anyway, I LOVE the rain and the snow. Bring it on...

I'm wearing my glitter bone id tag. It sparkles with the snow. Mwah!

Great Balls of Fire!

What happened?
Disturbing news reaches me about my best playmate Shadow.

Apparently he's been to see the vet for what they call 'minor' surgery. Well, I dunno about you, but I don't think there's anything minor about having your balls chopped off!  I know it's not as big an op as mine was, seeing as how all the girls' reproductive stuff is on the inside. But still.

I have also realised that among my human friends this is a contentious subject. There are those who think it's the best thing to do for your furry friend's health and future lifestyle, (mostly vets and women), and there are those who can't see the benefits and take a sharp intake of breath, accompanied by a pained expression at the mere mention of castration (mostly men).

Well, whatever your view it's too late for Shadow. Still, in his new incarnation at least we can continue to romp around and have a cheeky smooch without him trying to jump on my bones every five minutes.

Yup. I'm definitely in the yes camp...
